Education

Giavante Douglas is a licensed master social worker and school social worker with a strong commitment to advancing equity, healing, and empowerment within BIPOC women. A native of Brownsville, Tennessee, she specializes in trauma-informed care and the integration of holistic Indigenous healing practices. Giavante is a proud two-time alumna of Hawaii Pacific Å·ÃÀAƬ, earning her Bachelor of Social Work in 2015 and her Master of Social Work through the Advanced Standing program in 2016.

Biography

Her professional experience spans a variety of settings, including higher education, charter schools, correctional institutions, outpatient mental health clinics, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. Across these diverse environments, she has consistently demonstrated a passion for culturally responsive practice and community-centered support. Giavante is honored to return to her alma mater and is deeply committed to mentoring and preparing the next generation of social workers.
